Thanks to one of the Taiwan “intern”
friend for bringing us here to Fengjia Night Market! Fengjia Night Market
located at Tai Zhong which is really far from where I am staying in Taiwan. It
takes about 2 hour bus ride from Tao Yuan to Tai Zhong! It seems to be a long
ride but for me its seems to be alright compared to four hour rides. We pay NT
220 for the ride which means 10 Singapore dollars!
This is Fengjia Night Market address:
407台中市西屯區! I took a taxi from where I alight and I pay
about NT 85 for the ride! If you come for a short trip, I would recommend you
to take a taxi there instead of walking there as the night market is quite huge
and I believe you want to make good use of the timing!
The
first day we came to Fengjia Night Market, my Taiwan friend actually bring us
to the stall where they sell really nice food and there is always a long Q!
This stall I do not know what it’s called. They sell fried chicken and my friend
asks me to try their drum stick. So I just ordered a flavour without spice! My
friend say all the flavour is nice, when you get a chance to come to this night
market, I would recommend you to just choose any of it. (Because I myself also
don’t know what I order; x)! We waited for the chicken for about half an hour,
best is to come on Friday which the Q will be shorter compared to weekend! The
price of it is NT 50 if I am not wrong so is about 2 Singapore dollar !
The
waiting for the chicken is way too long! My friend and I are feeling super
hungry therefore we went to walk around to see what the other things we want to
try are! My friend spotted this shop and he ask me if I want to share with him
as 4 stick = NT100, so I choose 2 and he choose 2 too!
There
are four type of meat but for me I choose chicken and pork meat! Looking at the
picture you think it can just BBQ about 10 second and the aunt can serve us
immediately but to my disappointment ,I did not expect to wait again for this
food. I need to wait for about 5 minutes as she needs to BBQ it. After 5
minutes, I just to manage finish it super-fast because I am really hungry! For
me I think the meat is tasty and I think it eating 2 stick is enough, more than
that you will be sick of it.

one of them will offer to help me take picture of myself; x. Take picture alone
is not fun, group picture will be better.
You
can buy “Da Chang Bao Xiao Chang” here at this store! There have total 2 outlets
at this night market and there is always a Q without failed! There are
different favours out there to choose and for me I choose Wasabi! When I put
inside my mouth and eat it , the Wasabi “taste” just enter into my nose and
totally uncomfortable, my friend just ask me to breathe in and I feel so much
better! Even thou is uncomfortable I still love it !
Tarik drink!
I think it is quite
common in Taiwan Night Market! The first time I came to Taiwan I drink it at
Shilin Night Market and I love the packaging of the drink! They are selling 3 packs
for NT100, so three of us get one each!
Long Q again and I think another
unique point is the way to make the Tarik drinks unlike those normal pour out
from a bottle inside the fridge. Maybe when Singapore India come to Taiwan,
they will be super famous and they will earn big bucks because their drinks is
nice and they really can do lot of stunts! HAHA!
My Taiwan friend says that this
Banana Ice Cream is very nice! So I ordered one stick and add the colorful chocolate,
my favorite since young! One stick NT 30 and two stick cost only NT 50! I thought
Banana ice cream is banana cover with chocolate sauce and that colorful chocolate
that’s all. But when I have my first bite, I immediately fall in love with it.
I bite the banana like I am biting an ice cream. Totally awesome!
I guess my new friend have caught
your attention instead of the banana ice cream! I bet my friends and I went
crazy over the machine to catch toys! My friend caught one and he left NT 10,
he gave it to me and I just use that money to catch a toy and guess what? With
one try, I catch the toy which you can see from the picture above! Awesome man!
This is my third toy I am going to bring back to Singapore; I believe there is
more to come!
After all the eating sprees, we went
back early because my Taiwan friend very tired and he want to go home and sleep
early! So both of us no choice have to go back too even though I want to
continue to shop around.

called “DOU DOU”! Finally get to see him personally after a while, my Taiwan
friend keep talking about him back in our base!
Thank to my Taiwan friend parent for
letting both of us stay at their house, I did not manage to take the room
because I was too lazy but I can say that the bed is super comfortable and I believe
I am going to enjoy my sleep there. I shall end it with my new friend on my
bed!
