[CGSG13] FLOORBALL WORKSHOP BY 13 Shining Stars Floorball Academy

Thanks to #CGSG13 and 13 Shining Stars Floorball Academy for giving me an opportunity
to be here today to experience a game for Floor-ball ! I am totally excited about
the game ! Anything got to do with sports , i will be totally into it !

This is the place where we will be having our games or should i call it an match instead ?
All the equipment is ready for me to grab it and head off for a floor-ball match !
After learning some basic skills in another court , we went off to another side to continue practice but this time round is coached by Jill Quek
from 13 Shinning Stars Floorball Academy !
The lady in white is Jill Quek ! In case , you are like me don't play Floor-ball you might not
know who is she , so let me give you some of her back ground !
Jill Quek was awarded the Coach Recognition Award by the Singapore Sports Council in 2007. she has been coaching floor-ball competitively for 8 years , with both international and local coaching experiences. she also understudies and assisted Finland's youth Regional Girls team in November 2007 . Jill was the assistant Coach of the Singapore Men's Floor Ball Team In 2006 !

She did teach us how we should hold the stick and whether are we holding the right one ?
She also teaches us how to pass the ball .
we get to practice what she have teach us like passing straight , left and right .
Everyone is really paying attention to what she is teaching , so that later on during the
friendly match ,we will be able to put those skills she taught into action ,
to win our competitor ! WAHAAHAHAH *
she also share with us the rule of the game we going to play later on ! Like one of the rule is
that you should not swing like the same as Golf , because you got to hurt the other players
who is going to be standing behind you , and also not to swing above your hips when you
going to hit and pass the ball to your team members !

Everyone got their Floor Ball stick and immediately we just head off to the court and
ready to kick start the game !

I play attacker and defender at the same time ! So you will be seeing me running here and
there non-stop !
I got to keep snatching the ball like no one business because other team have already
score one ball :(
You must be wondering why both of us is smiling ?
Because at the beginning of the game , both of the team suppose to kick start the game !
So i was been send to kick start with her and once she know is me kick start
with her , she was like she is scary , i don't want ! Actually i feel quite bad maybe i should
be more gentle in playing this game , so when she come near me i will try not to be
so " scary" haha !
Finally the game ended ! By looking at the photo above , you can see that i am
really very tired because you need to run a lot and it requires strength, alertness and able to
react fast ! ( I think so ! )
As usual after game we will start taking group photo ! Confirm smiling non stop
because there are a few camera and phone out there snapping us !

Overall for this Floor Ball experience by 13 Shinning Stars FloorBall Academy , i really
enjoy myself and to be honest i really thinking of joining floor ball for recreational
or maybe competitive ? I will go think about it , if not playing two sports
competitive is really tiring !

After we finish bathing and packing , thanks to Andy for driving three of us ladies to
Old Airport Road ! These are the photo taken during the journey !
Let me introduced this boy to you ! His name is called HANDSOME !
He is actually Andy's son ! He is so cute and super talkative ! And something cool
i realize that when you ask him to pose , he will pose for you !

He is like my younger brother Kelvin , younger version !

Especially the Lao Ban !
After eating , Calvin and i head down to downtown east for the Carnival of Drums organised
by Student Care Service !
This carnival of Drums is Students Care Service (SCS) annual flagship event to raise
funds in support of children and youth from disadvantaged backgrounds.
There is actually some performance going on during the late afternoon time ,
how i wish to attend but i got something on :(
Some kids trying out the Indian Culture Drums !
Learning Malay culture drumming or maybe learning their instrument !
There is also a few "Village" Stores selling their own specialties and all the money will go into
the donation box !
This station will be teaching student how to use clay and make into drums !
While walking around i can really see some really nice clay drums & students and their
family members is enjoying themselves !
