I was invited for food tasting session at 福临门豆捞 Fu Lin Men Dou Lao @ 16 North Canel Road Singapore 048828.
It's a walking distance from CQ mrt station. Just walk toward the Hong Lin Park first traffic light turn left then cross the road on the right . Walk straight you will be able to spot the restaurant on your left hand side. Fu Lin Men Dou Lao flew all the way from Maucas to Singapore. I am looking forward to taste what kind of food will go inside my stomach.
Jessica and i arrived about 45 minutes earlier and we did not want to enter since is starting at 7 pm. Therefore we went to find a place to slack for a while and from the outside when i turn to look at the restaurant i was really impressed. The external decoration looks very high class and expensive. I am looking forward what kind of food am i going to try , since now i am still searching for restaurant to bring my daddy to eat on the father's day. A while later , another friend call us up and we went in the restaurant and let me tell you the first impression of the internal given to me was wow its so nice and the food here must be really expensive since they are selling wine here too.
While waiting bloggers to arrived , i went around to take some picture and to look look see see. This area actually catch my attention, these are the different sauces you can choose from. I am going to play around with the sauces and hopefully the end product will taste good.

While waiting for the soup to be ready , we were given a tour to level 2 and 3. They have private rooms for gathering and also have rooms for companies to hold their meeting . In order to enjoy the VIP room , each person have to spend $50 . If 4 person in the room , the bill must be above $200. With children a bit hard to spend that much unless they can eat really a lot , therefore i don't mind seating outside too . Their lightning and the design really make me feel like i am at a super high class place dining. The price of the food with this kind of environment is totally worth it.

Depends on how many people you have and they will indicate the apporiate room for you. There is a requirement to book the rooms , each person must spend at least $50. For example , i am going to bring my family of four here for dinner and in order to book the VIP room , i will need to spend $200 and above.
Those families with children will be abit hard to hit the amount but those adults i think it will be easier as there are beer and wine to order to hit that amount. VIP Room will be good for close friends to chill and relax like a boss. Close door and no one will come disturb you . I like this kind !
Other than just VIP ROOMS , there are a lot of available seating place outside too ! Seating outside also not bad , the seating arrangement is big enough to hold big groups of people. If too many people , you don't need to book the rooms you can just book the whole level to yourself :)

This room is specially design for those company department meeting as they have comfortable seating arrangement and what is the best ? They have the projector and you can just screen anything up :) The area is big enough to have 36 people seated.

Something i like about the screen is that during the talking no one is suppose to leave the room because the entrance and exist is just behind the screen. This can encourage people to visit the toilet first before coming in to pay full attention to the speaker ! I believe all the bosses will like this idea !

The way how it arrange it seems like salad . But looking left and right of the table, i find it weird why there is no sauces ? At the end , when i saw people putting inside the hotpot then i know is meant to be inside the hotpot. The vegetable is well washed and its very clean. I not sure why it taste super clean and fresh inside my mouth. I wil give it a 8 / 10 and if you are a vegetable
person , you might want to order this.
Live Tiger Prawn

WOW ! From the picture , there is nothing special that caught your eye except how the place it and also wondering why do they need to put the ice. I am wondering it too , don't worry you are not alone. After observing for a while, i realize that the prawns is still moving and it's freshly taken out of the tank. We just put it directly inside our hotpot and guess what ? It does not take very long to cook the whole prawn. Maybe about 30 seconds. I don't need to peel the skin as the staff have help us to remove it and when it place inside my mouth and bite it. Ohmy ! The meat is so tended and so fresh. I will give it an 10 / 10 , is a MUST eat when you come here !
Cold Black Fungus salad

Mild spicy only . Not much of taste , but with the chilli it makes it have a bit of favour . Original black fungus got taste one a not ah ? I will give 7/10 as i am not really a fan of black fungus amd those who love it , i am sure it will be rated higher than me.

I love their soup based . The heaviness of the taste it's just right and it is gentle to the stomach. No MSG as their chef every morning will come to the kitchen to brew with all the fresh ingredient and serve to customer. I think this is very important as no one want to pay to eat overnight food at restaurant. They are very generous in the ingredient inside the soup. I will give 10/10 and its a MUST eat when you come here.
Assorted Beancurd Platter
Frozen beancurd , Green Tea Beancurd and Beancurd
Can you believe i just put this frozen beancurd inside my stomach and eat it. My face change after i eat it. The taste its damn weird . After that i went to ask the person in charge if this is directly eat it or must cool ? Then his reply say that either way also can. After that i just put it inside the hotpot to cook it amd the taste its way so much better . Lesson learnt , next time when i eat hotpot again everything i will just put inside without second thought unless it looks cook. I will give a 7 /10 , the beancurd its very soft in the mouth but i just don't like it eating like this . I prefer some meat inside , FYI i am a meat person.
Fresh Live Red Snapper

OMG ! Expensive fish ! It's so fresh ! After cooking it , it will become super white and just by looking at the meat itself , i will feel super hungry. When i put inside the mouth and bite i5 , the meat is so soft ! I will give a 10/10 , is a

Homemade Assorted Treasure Balls

Cute little meat balls ! I just took everything including the cucumber and put inside the hotpot. The taste of the cucumber is normal and the meat is soft. It look like onfe you touch it , it will break immediately. The meat is soft and it's suitable for elderly and kids to consumer. I will give an 7/10 as i think it's a bit expensive for such a few piece of meat .
Its so yummy till everyone is clearing off the plate .
Fresh Live Red Snapper

Another yummy fish and even more expensive than the previous one. I would say its very fresh and the meat is soft. Something cool i should share with everyone is that the fishes is all freshly order from the supplier and they always order just nice quantity instead of over order which i think it can keep the freshness standard up there. I will give an 10/10 , is a MuST eat when you come here .
Fried Fish Skin

I love this dish more than anything else . Super yummy and crushy. I will give a 10+/10. Die die also MUST when you come here. Even though is fried , after eating for quite sometime , it will not caused the dryness.
Chinese Sausage Claypot Rice

This is the last dish of the day , even though i am quite full i am still able to finish up the rice . It's so yummy , especially it's salty enough and the sauce was even it spread out . I will give 8 /10. Right now just by typing this , i already started to feel hungry. How i wish it is infront of me right now.

Overall , i would say i love all the dish . I will give them an 9/10. Seldom during food tasting i will give such a high score. If you were to ask me if i will come back again , my answer is yes . I am planning to bring my daddy back here to eat - is either during father's day or his birthday.
